Welcome to EXCEL Academy Public Charter School

Opened in 2006, EXCEL Academy Public Charter School is one of the first public charter schools in Prince George's County, Maryland. Located in Riverdale, MD, EXCEL Academy serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade.  The mission of EXCEL Academy Public Charter School is to provide its students with a standards-based, college preparatory education.  We cultivate every student's academic and social learning potential through a rigorous academic program, innovative instructional techniques, and partnerships with all stakeholder groups.
