Opened in 2006, EXCEL Academy Public Charter School is the longest-operating public charter school in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Located in Fort Washington, MD, as of August 2023, EXCEL Academy serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade. We are an International Baccalaureate candidate school, and our approach is built upon the four pillars of Character Development, College and Career Preparatory Education, Cultural Arts, and Community Partnerships.
